My Background

I grew up in a small town in Iowa and earned my bachelor’s degree in Dietetics from Iowa State University before completing my Master’s in Education at Arizona State University. Over the past 10+ years, I’ve worked in retail dietetics, food service, and nutrition counseling—both in the U.S. and abroad in Germany and the U.K.—gaining a deep appreciation for how culture and lifestyle shape health and eating habits.

My Approach

Nutrition should be empowering—not overwhelming. That’s why I use a patient-centered, behavioral-based approach grounded in motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral strategies.

When I’m not helping clients, you’ll find me reading, hiking, traveling, or lifting weights—always exploring new foods and new places.
